THE HIRING OF APPRENTICES IN THE PORT AREA

Abstract

Work developed with the scope of knowing the history, legislation and dynamics of port work, aiming, at first, to conceptualize it to then demonstrate that the model of hiring personnel in the special mode of learning in port operations it's cool and workable. The matter is controversial, since the federal labor inspection bodies and part of the doctrine understand that, as activities in ports are subject to risks to the health and safety of workers and because there is a legal reserve of labor for the sector, there is no possibility of inserting apprentices in the sector. To counteract this understanding and conclude that the hiring of apprentices at work in ports is legal, updated bibliography, public manuals and current legislation are used, in addition to scientific articles. It is inferred that the discussion is fruitful to demonstrate the importance of port work, in addition to contributing to the deepening of the theme and to feasible actions of the subject studied regarding the insertion of young people in the labor market, contributing to their professionalization and qualification. Explanatory research with theoretical foundation was used as a methodology, obtaining a qualitative result, based on concepts and ideas.
