The entry into force of the new NR-01 “General Provisions and Management of Occupational Risks” brought the obligation to organizations to determine technical criteria for establishing the level of occupational risk for all hazards identified in the occupational risk management process , covering not only the hazards in the scope of occupational hygiene, but also all the risk factors associated with the illness of the worker, among which we highlight the psychosocial risk factors. Therefore, it is essential to know the particularities associated with this category of risk factors, in order to allow a correct identification of hazards, enabling an objective and coherent preliminary assessment, which determines - or not - the need for further investigation. Based on a review of the technical literature, this article seeks to systematize the identification of hazards and the assessment of severity and probability, within the criteria determined in NR-01, to establish the level of occupational risk for psychosocial risk factors.
