Abstract

This article addresses the issue of workplace harassment in the federal public service, focusing on the role of Labor Auditors. It analyzes the main causes that lead to the development of abusive and hostile practices in the work environment, as well as exploring the negative consequences for both individuals and institutions. The study also proposes prevention strategies, highlighting the importance of ethical management, effective internal policies, and an organizational culture that values respect and dignity for public servants. By treating labor auditing as a potentially hazardous field for workplace harassment, the article warns about the specific risks of this activity and reinforces the need for preventive actions to ensure a healthy, fair, and abuse-free work environment.

    Possui graduação em Ciências Contábeis pela Faculdade de Administração e Ciências Contábeis São Paulo Apóstolo (1988) e graduação em Direito pela Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (2003). Concluiu Pós-graduação em Direito e Processo do Trabalho pela EMATRA - Escola de Magistratura do Rio de Janeiro e Negociação Coletiva pelo convênio UFRGS/MPOG. Atualmente é Auditor-Fiscal do trabalho, lotado na Gerência Regional do Trabalho de Cabo Frio, RJ.
