This article aims to analyze the impacts of remote work on the mental health of Brazilian workers, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The abrupt adoption of the home office model by many organizations exposed significant challenges, including task overload, lack of boundaries between work and personal life, and inadequate domestic infrastructure. These conditions have contributed to a growing incidence of anxiety, stress, and other mental disorders. This qualitative study is based on bibliographic and documentary research to investigate how organizational culture can mitigate the negative effects of remote work. The article also highlights the relevance of institutional practices that promote well-being, such as disconnection policies, empathetic leadership, and the reorganization of work routines. It concludes that, although remote work offers operational advantages, organizations must invest in structures that protect employees’ mental health, making remote work a sustainable and human-centered practice.
