Abstract

Law No. 13,722/2018 was created after the tragic death of Lucas Begalli, a 10-year-old boy who suffocated during a school trip. It makes it mandatory for teachers and staff in public and private schools to undergo annual first aid training. This training is crucial to ensure that professionals are prepared to act quickly in emergency situations, preventing fatal accidents and promoting a safer school environment. It is worth noting that there are several risks present in a school environment, and the safety of these places deserves more careful and respected attention. Creating a safe and healthy environment not only improves the quality of life of educators and students, but also contributes to a more effective teaching-learning process.
