Forestry is considered one of the most stressful and dangerous activities for workers, in addition to causing a significant impact on the environment. Therefore, this study's main objective was to evaluate the health and safety conditions of workers at two companies in the forestry sector and to analyze aspects related to the environment during the execution of activities. For this, a structured questionnaire was used in the form of individual interviews and the application of a checklist to verify the situation of the environment, health and safety of workers. With the conclusion of the study, it was observed that during the interviews, 83% of the workers recognized the activity they perform as dangerous and 37.5% stated that they had already suffered some type of accident. In turn, with the checklist, it was found that the work front responsible for cutting with a chainsaw was the one that presented the worst general indicator, which took into account aspects such as health, safety and the environment. Thus, the study showed that workers in the forestry sector are daily exposed to situations that put their safety and well-being at risk. For this reason, the correct use of PPE and the dissemination of information are important tools to avoid accidents, protect the environment and the lives of workers.
