This article examines the labor impacts resulting from the tragedy in Brumadinho, which occurred in 2019, and analyzes its socioeconomic implications, focusing on the floods, positioning them as issues that require analysis from a specific methodological perspective. It proposes to contextualize these events as major workplace accidents, offering a critical analysis of their labor aspects. The most paradigmatic cases judged by the Labor Court regarding environmental labor law will be examined in detail, with a careful approach to the facts and the judicial process related to environmental, social, and collective damages. The conclusion highlights the importance of human rights to a safe and healthy work environment, while also emphasizing the need to observe protection rules related to this theme. The deductive method was adopted for the research, using the bibliographic research technique based on relevant doctrine and legislation. It is concluded that ensuring a safe environment is crucial to protect workers' rights and the environment, with an emphasis on holding companies accountable for workplace accidents, strengthening the role of the Judiciary in protecting the orphans of the Brumadinho accident.
